1 Discover

  1. If you don’t have current statements ask your payroll/ human resources department for help;
  2. Check the filing cabinet for old statements from funds you still have, but no longer contribute to;
  3. Chase up old and lost super through the ATO’s free on-line search. Just go to www.ato.gov.au  and search for “SuperSeeker”.
2 Consider

...seeking professional financial advice before rolling over your Super.

The investors with more complex issues (ie. membership in a “defined benefit” fund or those with existing life insurance paid through their super) may need to obtain professional financial advice.
